Description

Le Vin Santo di Montepulciano Poggio Stella, est produit à partir de raisins Malvasia et Trebbiano, les vignobles sont situés à environ 350/400 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer dans la municipalité de Montepulciano avec un système de formation cordon éperonné et guyot avec une densité de plantation de 2500/3500 plants par hectare.

Vinification
Once the grapes arrive in the winery, they are dried for 3-5 months on cane racks, then softly pressed and the must is put into oak and chestnut barrels, where fermentation takes place.

Refinement
Matures for a minimum of 5 years in 30/70 litre oak and chestnut barrels.

Tasting Notes In the glass it has an amber yellow colour. The nose is strong and decisive, giving notes of caramel, flanked by hints of candied fruit, with a finish dominated by hints of honey. In the mouth we immediately find a balance between acidity, tannin and the sugar component.
