Description

Sabazio Rosso di Montepulciano Tenuta La Braccesca, was inspired by Sabatino Lulli, known as 'Sabazio', a monk of the Montepulciano Abbey who was the first to provide directions for wine production in the area in the medieval period. The first vintage of La Braccesca's Vino Rosso di Montepulciano was 1992.

Vinification
Harvesting began in the first week of September. On arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and softly crushed. The must thus obtained was transferred to stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28 °C in order to preserve and enhance the aromatic characteristics of the varieties.

Refinement
The wine rested in stainless steel vats where malolactic fermentation took place and aged for about 4 months before being bottled in mid-March 2022.

Tasting Notes In the glass it has a ruby red colour. The nose is characterised by fresh notes of red fruit, such as black cherry and raspberry, and pleasant floral and balsamic hints. The palate is soft, with velvety tannins accompanying a pleasantly savoury and fresh finish. In the aftertaste, the fruity sensations perceived on the nose return.
Pairing Advice
Pairing A fresh wine that makes an ideal companion for an undemanding meal. Lightly elaborated first courses and barbecued meat main courses. Try it with cold meats and fresh soft cheeses.
