Description

Chianti Colli Senesi Poggio Stella, is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, harvested when fully ripe in the vineyards that climb the hills of the province of Siena with a guyot and spurred cordon training system with a planting density of 3500/5000 plants per hectare for 80 quintals of annual yield. Here we can find a prevalently hilly terrain, formed by the crumbling of mother rock, with a good presence of skeleton.

Vinification
Once the hand-picked grapes arrive at the winery, they are destemmed and crushed, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration in stainless steel vats.

Refinement
It is matured in the bottle for at least 3 months.

Tasting Notes In the glass it has a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose is ample and persistent with pleasant notes of fruit and undergrowth. In the mouth it is dry and continuous, revealing pleasant hints of red berry fruit and mineral notes, it is appreciated for the balance between tannins and acidity.
