Description
Montefalco Rosso Antonelli, organic is a traditional red wine made from Sangiovese, Typical Grapes of Montefalco and Montepulciano grapes. For years now, the Montefalco company has undertaken a working method with organic farming principles, the main objective of which is to bring back into the bottle only the characteristics of the territory from which it comes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually during the coolest hours of the day, usually starting with Sangiovese at the end of September and finishing with Typical Grapes of Montefalco and Montepulciano in October. Once in the cellar, the three different varieties that make up the wine are vinified separately with fermentation in steel tanks with 2-3 weeks' maceration on the skins.
Refinement
The varieties are blended so that they can be matured in large oak barrels for at least 10 months, then spend 6 months in cement vats for clarification before being bottled.

Tasting Notes | In the glass, it has an intense, luminous red colour. The nose recalls aromas of ripe red fruit, black cherry, hints of undergrowth and delicate spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and intense, with fine tannins and a mouthfeel characterised by a pleasant fruity fragrance. The finish is pleasantly fresh and with good taste persistence. |

Pairing | Definitely a wine that can entertain an entire meal, it goes well with rich and tasty traditional first courses, especially with meat or game sauces, roasts or barbecued meats. Also try it with cured meats and mature cheeses. |
