Description

Campaltino Rosso Vecchia Cantina 6-bottle box, is produced with Sangiovese grapes, the vineyards are at approx. 250/450 m a.s.l. with guyot and spurred cordon training system with a planting density of 2500/3500 plants per hectare. Here we can find a medium-hill terrain with soils predominantly of medium texture.

Vinification
Once the grapes arrive in the winery, they are destemmed, softly pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature of no more than 26°C.

Refinement
Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks for about 8 months before bottling.

Tasting Notes In the glass it has a beautiful ruby colour of medium intensity, with violet reflections. The nose is pleasantly fruity, with clear hints of red berries, such as strawberries and cherries. In the mouth, then, it turns out to be a pleasantly smooth wine and well balanced in all its components with tannins that are present but not intrusive.
Pairing Advice
Pairing It goes well with first courses, red meat dishes, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses.
