Biondi-Santi
The Biondi-Santi Winery is the story of Brunello di Montalcino, they are the ones who created it, in 1869, Clemente Santi wins two Silver Medals at the Agricultural Fair of Montepulciano (SI) and it all started from there. Franco Bindi-Santi, graduated from the University of Perugia in Agricultural Sciences in 1948, learned the techniques of winemaking from his father Tancredi, one of the most renowned oenologists of his time, when he inherited the Greppo family estate in 1970 he remained faithful to the tradition of his father but at the same time tried to improve the quality also starting a collaboration with the University of Florence to select the best clones of Sangiovese present in his estate making sure that his wines have always enjoyed great popularity and recognition
