Podere 414
Podere 414 Winery is a farm owned by Simone Castelli which produces wines from the Tuscan Maremma such as Morellino di Scansano, Trebbiano Toscano, Badilante Sangiovese, Flower Power Rosè Toscana, Aleatico Passito Toscana. 414 is the number attributed to the Podere by the Maremma Authority, during the agrarian reform of 1960, with this reform the lands deriving from what remained of the large landowner properties were given for cultivation to families from all over Italy, called Assignees. These families inherited a wild and uncontaminated territory which forced them to a difficult agriculture, often linked to subsistence; for this reason the Tuscan Maremma still maintains its original spirit intact today. We have been operating in this disputed area between the sea and the hills since 1998, producing local wines following what nature suggests to us year after year
