The Campo alla Sughera winery was founded in 1998. Next to the bed of the Fossa di Bolgheri, protected by the inland hills which form a natural barrier to cold currents, 20 hectares in the heart of the Bolgheri appellation, of which 16.5 are planted with vineyards. Since 1997 the Knauf family, German entrepreneurs who have been present in Tuscany for years, have been carrying out a meticulous classification of the land on a geological and pedoclimatic basis to identify the plots of Bolgheri most suited to the creation of great wines. The chosen location is perfect: between the sea and the hills, sand and marl enhance the natural complexity and expressive richness of the local wines
