Description

Nobile di Montepulciano Organic D.O.C.G. Vecchia Cantina, is produced with mainly Sangiovese grapes, the vineyards are at approx. 250/450 m a.s.l. with guyot and spurred cordon training system with a planting density of 3500/5000 plants per hectare. Here we can find medium hilly terrain with soils formed by the crumbling of mother rock, with a good presence of skeleton.

Vinification
Once the grapes arrive in the winery, they are destemmed, softly pressed and sent to temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats for 15 days.

Refinement
Maturation takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 24 months before bottling.

Tasting Notes In the glass it has a ruby red colour with violet hues. The nose is ample and persistent, with notes of red berry fruit and hints of undergrowth. In the mouth it is full and harmonious, with good texture and flavour, revealing a pleasant tannic note on the finish.
