Description
Grechetto Perticaia, is a fruity and fragrant white wine that comes from 100% Grechetto grapes from the green heart of Umbria. The vineyards are located in the hilly area of the countryside around Montefalco, where in addition to indigenous grape varieties, the estate also grows Grechetto, a historic grape variety of central Italy, which in recent years has been increasingly asserting itself for its characters of originality and pleasantness of drinking. A wine with an immediate taste, which confirms not only the qualities of this ancient grape variety, but also the vocation of Umbria to produce great whites. The vineyards for the production of this wine are located at an altitude of about 300 m above sea level, with southern and southwest exposure, in an area with a cool, continental climate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the coolest hours of the day, usually at the end of September, and immediately taken to the winery to be started with the soft pressing of the whole bunches under inert gas, so as to avoid the danger of oxidation. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15-16 °C and only using indigenous yeasts.
Refinement
Maturation takes place in steel for about 6 months, with permanence on the fine lees of fermentation, in order to acquire more structure and aromatic richness.

Tasting Notes | In the glass it is straw yellow in colour with golden reflections. The nose expresses aromas of wild flowers, citrus, yellow peach, apricot and officinal herbs. In the mouth, it has good body, with lovely fruity notes, balanced freshness, and a savoury, slightly almondy finish. |
