Sommelier Suggestion | We recommend pouring the wine into the decanter for a few hours to allow it to aerate and awaken all the aromas. This wine is one of the great Italian red wines particularly suitable for ageing. Remarkable already if drunk now, but we suggest to let it rest in the cellar to reach a full and harmonious maturity, with important aromatic evolutions. Ageing capacity of over 20 years. |
Tasting Notes | In the glass, it has a deep, intense red colour with garnet-red hues. On the nose, the olfactory spectrum is very varied, presenting itself with greatness, alternating notes of ripe fruit with sweet spices and woody sensations deriving from slow ageing. On the palate it is full-bodied, energetic, vigorous, with a dry and elegant, perfectly balanced mouthfeel. |
Pairing Advice | |
Pairing | It can be paired with game, important red meats such as steaks or with spicy stewed meats, it also goes well with blue cheeses or extra dark chocolate |
