Description

Sangiovese Cortona D.O.C. Vecchia Cantina, produced with Sangiovese grapes from vineyards in the rpvincia of Cortona. Vineyards located at approx. 250/450 m above sea level with guyot and spurred cordon training system with a planting density of 3500/5000 plants per hectare. Here we can find a medium hilly terrain with soils formed by the crumbling of mother rock, with a good presence of skeleton.

Vinification
Manual harvesting, once the grapes arrive at the winery they are destemmed, a soft pressing is carried out and they are sent to fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats.

Refinement
Maturation takes place in steel for at least 12 months, and for a minimum of 3 months in the bottle before release.
